The brilliant golden brass alloy used for these coins wasĀ formulated to look like 14 kt gold when new.Ā TheyĀ come straight from the mint with a mirror finish, and no additional treatment or coating. After about a week of carrying, they will develop a darkerĀ patina giving them a cool aged look - like an old school advertising token - as shown in the photos.Ā
Minted by the oldest operating private mint in the USA, in operation for over 200 years.
