Selvyt “MF” microfibre cloths are made from a synthetic polymer that is forced through microscopic spinnerets to create micron-scale fibers that are then woven into an extremely dense, gentle, and hard wearing fabric.
The raw fabric is then imprinted and gently combed to raise a self-renewing plush cleaning surface. Selvyt’s MF cloths are abrasive free, meaning they won’t scratch or remove surface finish or patina.
Selvyt cloths are far superior to standard disposable microfiber cloths and even to chamois leather. When the cloth gets dirty simply wash it by hand with a simple dish soap, rinse fully, and wring dry. Selvyt’s claim-to-fame is that their cloths get better with every use due to the renewing quality of the upper plush layer of the fabric.
Use the cloth anywhere a fine polish, cleaning, or wipe is needed to remove fingerprints, dust, smudges or marks.

I was really excited to use this to remove the fingerprints I left on my brand-new RoseCraft Jack Red Jigged Bone Slip joint. I used the Microfibre Cloth, and it left little scratches on the blade. What a shame... the cloths that come with Kizer's knives are much better than this cloth. If you are considering purchasing this, please reconsider.

The KPL branded Selvyt cloth is a genuine, English made Selvyt microfibre, the same cloth widely used by high-end watchmakers, jewellers, and luxury brands like Rolex, Patek Philippe, Ray-Ban and Olamic Cuterly etc. specifically because it is long lasting, high quality, non-abrasive and safe for polished surfaces. Under normal use, the cloth itself will not introduce scratches to hardened blade steel.
In situations like this, the most common cause is a small piece of grit, or metal particulate being present either on the blade or caught in the fibres of the cloth prior to wiping. Even very fine debris can leave light marks on a polished finish. We always recommend ensuring both the blade and cloth are completely clean before use, and washing the cloth periodically to prevent contamination.
That said, we absolutely understand how frustrating it would be to see marks on a new knife.

Big fan of microfibre cloths especially quality made ones. This KLP cloth is bigger than expected and is being used for everything from cleaning screens to camera gear and of course my knife collection. Bout the size of a hanky.
