Deviant

I've had this as my everyday carry for almost two years and it just keeps getting better. It's worn in well, opening action is just how I like it and the blade has kept its edge very well.
The copper bolsters have such a nice patina - love the uniqueness of the material.

I’ll just come right out and say it. This is my favourite knife from Kizer. The micarta and copper cmon! Then you have M390 sheeps foot blade. The weight is perfect. The finish and overall looks are fantastic. The blade just launches out so nicely. Placement of the thumbs studs are spot on. Blah blahs. I love it and Mitch was so good again. Regards Marc

I have the copper bolsters/green micarta version of the Deviant and am very happy with it. Very clearly a Sheepdog Designs product, so there are things that hark back to other knives by the designer, particularly the blade shape. The action is good from the outset, but breaks in very quickly to become excellent. Mine has become very easy to flick open and has now developed a smooth drop-shut action, all without any adjustments. Fit and finish are first rate. The copper bolsters do increase weight, but also offer a canvas for forced patinas, if you’re so inclined. The micarta is excellent and the CPM-S35VN blade works very well, with a gently curving continuous belly and attractive sheep’s foot profile.
