Elementum Utility

I was sceptical when placing the order, $80 for a utility knife is up there….. but, and it’s a big but, the build quality is next level.

The action runs smooth as silk, there are no blemishes on the handles, the overall build quality is worthy of a $200 price tag.

The button lock works very well, it locks up solid with no “play” what so ever when open.

The blade attachment… it’s simple and effective, doesn’t protrude and allows for a heap of cutting edge.

The belt clip is just right and doesn’t dig into your hand when in use.

Overall, I can’t see anywhere that improvements could be made, time will tell how durable it will be.

Fantastic quality and very fidgety. I fidget more with the knife than I actually use it. Feels great in the hand and is very light in the pocket.

I think it's a great little knife for work in the factory. It's lightweight, easy to flick open. The packaging it arrived with was exceptional!!

I’m very pleased with this purchase. Even my partner was impressed. It’s so much better than a traditional box cutter, which can be quite flimsy. This is a safe and robust utility knife, as well as nice looking and easy to use.

So after a speedy Australia Post delivery complete with surprise lollie and thankyou card signed by Mitch (Thankyou!), I enjoyed the unboxing of the blue Civivi Elementum Utility. After ordering and receiving a blacked out Civivi Incindie as my no.1 flipper button lock knife, it was so beautiful that I immediately thought it would be a shame to use it for dirty hacky tasks, so the idea of a replacable blade made sense to me, but it still had to have button lock and flipper. The bonus with the Civivi is its small size in pocket, full exposed length of utility blade and non tactical look if I'm getting it out somewhere other than work.
The fit, finish, feel, smoothness, flipperabilitiness (is that a word!?) and look is excellent! Truth be told, I'm just new to the EDC knife world, having had a Swiss Army knife since a kid, I wasn't aware of the rabbit hole that just folding knives is worldwide, let alone kitchen knives, fixed blades, industrial, tools.....etc.
Also, as a newb, I'm starting with Sandvik budget steel because it seems the bell curve shows that there are way more options on cool designs and functions like flipper and button lock. It's seems that in the higher edge retention steels, there becomes less choice and increased cost. So for now, I'll practice sharpening on a less pricey knife that I love the look and one handed flipabiliinessness of! For now! How far down the rabbit hole will I go #yes I know@ what a nerd, we'll have to wait and see. So for now it's the Incindie in the front pocket and the Elementum Utlity in the back pocket, pick the right one for the right job.

This has the best action I’ve had on a utility knife by a mile. Fit and finish is on point too. Come on We knives make a titanium version

I’ve Used everyday the last 2 or so weeks since I got her and performing unreal for everyday general use.
I’m in Maintance so was a bit hesitant in spending $80 on a work knife but so glad I did she seams well made very light weight fidgety and low profile in the pocket would highly recommend to anyone who uses box cutters everyday hopefully she lasts a few yrs 🤞🏼

The Elementum Utility was a pleasant surprise. Civivi has tuned their button lock detent to have decent tension and snap with a very satisfying action. The smaller-than-standard size compared to the regular Elementum is also welcome. You get almost the full edge of the utility blade in this design I know some people wanted some type of quick-release blade mechanism, but the Torx screw is a lot more secure and rattle-free. How do they make it at this price ?

The overall build quality is quite nice, but in no time, the screw holding the blade in place comes loose and you're stuck constantly tightening... considering this fact, the torx bit required to tighten it should come with it. It's actually been really disappointing to work with.

Great untility knife , takes srandard blades and single handed use for safety. Button lock works closed too.

Good utility blade knike , single handed opening and closing with lock /detent closed too. Even take standard blades.

Better than expected 👌

Great utility knife, all the qualities you expect from Civivi…. Only complaint is I wish I had more cause to use it , only ever carried one knife but this has me contemplating carrying this as a second “beater “ knife

This knife is nothing like ordinary utility knives. Genuine one handed operation. You find yourself looking for stuff that needs cutting or even carving. Very satisfying indeed

The great version of the elementum, great price bought a few as gifts there that good

Handle grip is a bit small

I’ve misplaced my first one, so I bought another one straight away. Perfect edc, lightweight and never needs sharpening.

We unpack furniture and boxes daily and also lay flooring. This is a handy little knife that is hardly noticeable in the packet. As we have bulk supplies of blades on hand it will always be a sharp knife. It will be useful for hard to get into locations like wardrobes and pantries when trimming carpet. One handed operation is useful and quality appears good.

My favourite utility I use it evey day at work for 3 months and it still works perfectly Definitely recommended if you don't own one get one

super fidgetable action, comes with spare blades, handy little blade without the worry of damaging a nice edge. solid construction, really comfy in the hand, nice high pocket clip. great price. 10/10 bitchin blade. :)

Loving the civivi utility knife, had it for three days now and it's my fav. It looks good and is well made. I like the size, small and easy to carry. While I have not changed a blade yet it's easy to use!

Comfortable to use, solid and easy to change blades. Great flipper action. The included blades are much sharper than other replacement utility blades! Civivi bundles spares with the knife but they are not available separately.

The Elementum utility knife is brilliant, It's razor sharp & comes with spare blades. This knife now replaces all my other utility knives. I'm always impressed with ADVENTURE CARRY & there service, they always package their goods very professionally 10/10 .
