Yonder

One of my very first purchase from AC. Beautiful stonewashed tanto blade. And Mitch is such a great person to deal with.

The yonder has perfect geometry for its size, and if you buy 2, you can swap the scales for a beautiful look

After finally pulling the trigger & grabbing a Yonder am pleased to say the hype surrounding it is well deserved. This is one little knife that punches above it's price range. Civivi have nailed the cross bar lock, the action is smooth out of the box, the knife is very fidgety & while it's not the most exciting knife out there, it just ticks all the boxes & is classic EDC at it's best.

Nice blade🙂 with a couple of cons. Very Smooth action for opening and closing. I think the thumb stud is abit close to the handle so a quick flick to open it is tricky (see pic) . I'd also prefer if the tip of the blade is further from the rear end of the handle when the blade is in the closed position, reason being the blade tip nicked my palm once when I was closing it (see pic). Nice pattern on the damascus blade for a sub $150 folder. I like the case, stickers and microfibre cloth it came with.

Great action! Good size for daily

The Yonder lives up to the hype. The thin blade stock makes this knife an excellent slicer. Not as good at food prep as my Opinel No. 8 but for every day tasks like opening packages or bags of gravel etc for landscaping, this knife excels.

The Yonder carries exceptionally well in the pocket courtesy of the deep carry pocket clip. I have also found the 14c28n steel to hold an edge well. It responds very well to a strop, bringing the Yonder back to hair shaving sharp in between sharpennings.

Bought this knife based on all the glowing reviews it gets and I wasn’t disappointed.

I don’t have a big hand and this ticks all the boxes for me. It’s comfortable to hold, good size, balanced weight, attractive, and a good slicer.

I wish there was a WE KNIFE version of this I buy straight away.

Little used so far. However, axis lock is a bonus. The axis operation is a bit more
sticky or more friction than Kizer's version. I can see that this will improve with use. Hesitant lock up of the action could be just the lighter weight of the blade.
Nice and slicey blade works well. Time will tell how handy this design will be.

I have some other knives, none of them felt like the one. I had a Fastball with a great blade shape, but was a flipper (I prefer thumb stud) and felt a little pointy. I had other knives but liner lock was annoying with gloves.

Then I saw the Civivi Yonder, and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it, it’s the perfect size, great action, perfect blade shape and very slicey geometry. For such an unbeatable price it’s hard to pass up on such a well designed, and ready to be put to work knife.

This is my perfect knife.

This knife is really good for everyday usage, like breaking down boxes, opening packages, etc. The movement is like immaculate, very fidgetable, and I haven't had any wear and tear on the deep pocket clip or anything that I can see. The blade finish seems quite resistant as well.

Lovely compact everyday carry . Fit and finish is close to perfect as I have come to expect from Civivi. Comfortable in hand I think this will become a constant companion. Service from Adventure Carry was as always first class .

Great little knife for the money.
Good materials. Love the short pocket clip. Only thing I would change is adding a slight taper to the handle near the thumb stud when closed to allow for easier access, like the Kizer Drop Bear.

Lite weight and good hand grip.

It's a bit smaller than I expected. But still great in the hand. Slicey, well made and easy to handle. Love it!

This is a solid knife for anyone that’s a fan of the butterfly companies offerings, though it’s better made and cheaper!
