Definitely small and pocket sized. Perfect for touch ups and works well

Best for emergencies

I can't say that I'm a knife sharpening pro - I'm the opposite - but after many youtube videos I think I've got the gist of the theory :) In practice it certainly takes some skill - and trying to sharpen on a handheld knife sharpener makes it even harder. It's not a fault of the product - that's a user issue - but even so it's quite small to grip and the wide narrow. It feels like a great tool if you need to sharpen in an inconvenient location but not necessarily the most easy/convenient to use.
