The Vosteed Raccoon Crossbar Lock Gen 2 takes one of Vosteed’s most recognisable everyday carry designs and gives it a proper ground-up refinement. The familiar all-rounder profile remains, now centred around a slightly wider 3.17 inch / 80.5 mm Nitro-V drop point that delivers a practical balance of edge performance, corrosion resistance and easy sharpening. Repositioned aluminium thumb studs improve leverage, while added spine and handle jimping give the hand more positive contact during use.

The bigger changes sit inside the knife. Vosteed’s new one-piece Ball Roll Bar replaces the previous two-piece crossbar assembly, while full-length liners, an aluminium backspacer and larger contact points create a more rigid chassis. The patent-pending three-post pivot construction also allows the scales to be removed while the liners and lock assembly stay together, making the Raccoon considerably easier to customise and maintain. Add a revised pocket clip, Crinkle Cut CNC-milled G10 on selected variants, and textured Micarta on others, and Gen 2 feels like a Raccoon designed around how people actually carry, use and modify their knives.
