Following from Civivi's popular Button Lock Elementum is another Button Lock offering from Civivi - The Cogent.

Featuring the same fidgety fun button lock action, the Cogent also features a flipper tab allowing you to deploy your blade the way you like.

The blade is made out of Sandvik 14C28N steel which provides excellent edge retention, great corrosion resistance and hardness for a multitude of tasks. The cogent comes in a plain edge blade or half serrated blade options. We've picked out the Black G10 or Green Micarta scales for this drop which we think are the best looking options!

Fantastic!

This is fast becoming my favourite out of my collection. Find my self playing around with the button lock without realizing it half the time. It's a bit larger than my previous knives as I tended to stick with the slimmer and more symmetrical designs but this one stood out as something I had to get my hands on and I was definitely not disappointed. It has a bit more heft to it which I found myself liking a lot. Another great one from Civivi, looking forward to what they have in the pipeline.

Love the service Mitch, already looking for some more things to purchase from you as soon as I can!

Great review Stuart! Thanks for the positive feedback.
Cheers

Civivi Cogent, deep thoughts. :^/

Thank for asking me to review the Cogent button. Actually, I am having an affair with a Civivi Bo at the moment, a lovely, little in your hand, no frills flipper, well worth looking at.
Prior to that I was in love with the Civivi Element Button. We still secretly catch up frequently. The Civivi Cogent Button I bought, as I thought the combined flipper, with button release seemed the best of both worlds from the knives mentioned previously, and I'm sure it is, but I'm still not convinced. Maybe its because I find the Cogent not well balanced, too heavy, maybe clumsy. So, want a light girlie flipper, get the Civivi Bo, want a wonderful medium sized, light weight button (no flipper), definitely look at the Civivi Elementum Button, but coming in at third place, is the good tough, versatile , heavy weight flipper button Civivi Cogent button release. AND ! . . . Mitch at Adventure carry sent the Cogent with a really nice personal note. Thanks Mitch, a nice note to receive 😁❤️👏👏

Hi Marc, thank you for your very insightful review! Civivi's excellent range makes that there there is a perfect knife for everyone. The Civivi Bo is great! You're right, the Cogent is more robust - aimed at more of the Tactical appeal. You should look out for the Button Lock Altus that will be coming out soon. If you liked the Button Lock Elementum, I think you'll like the Altus.

Thank you for your support and your time in leaving your review!

Cheers,
Mitch

They just keep getting better!

Civivi's second button lock is a winner.
The flipper + button combo works a treat with smooth action and no lock stick.
Blade is not too thick so this is a proper slicer.
Another must have From the WE/Civivi crew.

Thanks Mitch for the ever outstanding service.

Hi Michael, thank you for leaving your review and uploading your awesome shot of the Cogent! Glad you're enjoying it! Appreciative of your support!
