Chaves SS, truly a premium knife!!!

Well, I've wanted a Chaves for quite a while, but just waited until I saw one that I knew would fit my uses & hand down to the ground, & the Scapegoat Street was the one! This is not some chincy blade for a mega rich collector (though it absolutely could be) rather it's a heavy duty premium EDC made with all the finest materials, or put another way, it's a blade YOU KNOW
you can rely on. I confess a vague interest in some knives that would be classed as display pieces, extremely vague honestly, I personally am almost always attracted to a solid well built, precision cutting tool that I know will stand up to my farm work & something I know will never leave me hanging when those inevitable cutting tasks arise during my day, though I have on occasion bought a chincy blade or two simply because I found its look interesting, knowing I was never going to really use it, BUT the Chaves Scapegoat Street is certainly not one of those, there ain't nothing chincy about this premium feeling, premium built & premium performing cutting tool. Sporting beautifully thick Titanium scales (I've a big hand) that for me are hand melting, with a superbly placed & crafted, perfectly sized, usable finger choil that makes choking up exceptionally natural not to mention truly safe. This masterful choil is a permanent friend & companion to the exceptionally ground & definitely capable M390 drop point blade that is thin enough behind the edge to make it incredibly slicey, yet, the SS's spine is thick enough that as soon as you deploy it, you KNOW it means business & it's not going to let you down. The pivot & scale T8's are easily the best quality & secure feeling hardware I've personally experienced & well, I couldn't help myself lol I had to throw some skiffs onto it & well let's just say you'll have to pick one up off of Mitch throw some skiffs on it a feel it for yourself, because my words aren't going to do it justice. I'm high functioning Autistic & as such I know every single millimetre on each of my blades, so I was a little disappointed to see a hundredth of a millimetre worth of daylight on either side of the Ti back spacer, it's absolutely not discernible to the naked eye & 95% of people may not even notice it lol but I'm a knife guy & well lol I do notice these finer details, that being said it is what it is & its certainly not Mitch's fault, Mitch is outstanding, & I'm over the moon with the knife, so I won't be worrying Mitch over such a minor detail. So do I recommend the Chaves Scapegoat Street Ti Framelock in M390, 🤔 ahhhhhh you darn skippy I do Jack!! Ps, the action & lock up is so smooth & rock solid, deploying it almost feels a kin to operating an amazing quality well built bolt action rifle, I kid you not!!!

Scapegoat

The latest in my series of Chaves purchases, they are only getting better, remarkably good ergo's for such a tanky boxy handle, love the clip point blade and finally a usable finger choil ... funny the bolt holes over the eyes on the skull clip never bothered me until the scapegoat arrived and didn't have them!

Thanks Andrew! The new clip is a huge improvement.

Cheers!
Mitch
