Button Lock Elementum II | Aluminium

I bought the Elementum II because I wanted a sleek, practical EDC. What I actually received was a highly effective productivity-destruction device that also happens to be excellent at cutting things.

The design is beautifully understated. The OD green G10 and blackwashed blade look fantastic without screaming “I have strong opinions about blade steel” to everyone in the room. It disappears into the pocket, feels great in the hand and has quickly become my default EDC. Especially for the price. Then there's the action.

Oh, the action.

It is buttery smooth. Between the flipper, button lock and drop-shut action, the Elementum has dangerously high fidget potential. Open. Click. Close. Repeat. Somewhere, a spreadsheet is waiting to be finished.

When actual work is required, though, it delivers. Cardboard boxes aren't so much opened as processed. It eats through them and asks for more, while holding an edge that could make God bleed. Sleek, practical, ridiculously satisfying and just threatening enough to Amazon packaging.

I recently purchased the Civvi Elementum II button lock knife with black stonewashed Nitro V blade and black G10 handle from Adventure Carry.

The knife appears to be good quality, it feels good in the hand and fits nicely into my jeans pocket with added security thanks to the pocket clip, it also fits perfectly into the large pocket of my RMK leatherworks pocket organiser.

The flipper mechanism is smooth and easy to operate. Upon opening the snap is audible but not as loud as some other flipper knives I own (such as the Boker Plus Kwaiken Air G10) I don’t see this as a positive or a negative. It’s just an observation and possibly information that might be relevant to others depending on their intended use.

The button lock is an excellent feature, I predominantly have liner lock folding knives but so far the button lock is superior in my opinion.

The blade is sufficiently sharp straight out of the box and it came with a carry pouch, polishing cloth and sticker.

Although it’s too early to comment on durability and edge retention, for the price I paid, I am very happy with the product.

I should also mention, that if you watch the video I have uploaded, that I have very large hands.

I’d also like to note that unlike some of the other companies I have purchased from, Adveture Carry’s website was extremely easy to use and my order was processed, dispatched and received very quickly, I really can’t fault their customer service.

They also included 3 zappo lollies in the shipping packaging, which I thought was odd but still appreciated, I don’t think I’ve had one in 20+ years.

This is my first Civivi, and I was keen on trying out the infamous Elementum model. There was something sci-fi about the transparent Ultem that reminded me of C3PO, so I thought I'd give it a try. In the hand, it feels beautifully solid. The cut and detail around the blad,e including the "C" for Civivi, are all solid and elegant - this looks like something you'd want to pick up and try. The little "guide" to help flip the blade out is incredibly fun, and I can't stop flicking it out. The blade is simple and functional without trying to look fancy - and a simple blade edge to sharpen as well. This is probably the most modern knife I have my collection now.

Brought this knife more for its looks rather than actually needing it. It doesn’t disappoint, it’s a beautiful looking knife in real life not just in the pictures advertising it.

I have always really like my original elementum and now I have thr button lock version. It's brilliant. So fidgety but still a simple and functional design with a great hollow drop point blade.

Has excellent action with a smooth bearing, a comfortable size, and maintains a sharp edge. Overall, it seems to be a great edc.

Amazing knife and slightly smaller than I expected in a good way. The button lock is super smooth and very intuitive to use. The ultem and black blade is really cool. Unlike anything I’ve seen in person before. Coming from a buck 110 I wasn’t sure if I would notice much of an upgrade in a modern knife but it feels worlds apart! More importantly Mitch and the teams service was amazing. Great price and fast postage along with a personalized thank you. Pivot screw needs some Loctite Threadlocker (works its self lose from opening and closing). Other than that its a pretty great knife for the money. And buying through Adventure Carry is a pleasant experience.

Probably one of the best EDC knives around. Button lock is well tuned. Easy deployment. Very fidgety! Recessed clip! Action felt just a tad gritty initially. Pulled it apart and gave her a clean and some KPL pivot lube. Perfect now. (not that is was too bad before) Great knife and at an excellent price!

Terrific little EDC knife. Fits well in the hand and has a smooth opening action for easy deployment. The deep carry clip makes it comfortable in the pocket. I can definitely see this knife being my daily driver. Thanks to adventure carry for great service and quick delivery!
