After 3 tries at getting the sold out Cormorant in, we finally have a hold of Cormorant stock in Australia! This is the Cormorant V2 which has a patented locking mechanism. Designed by Kizer's Engineer/designer Yue, also known as Doctor_EDC, the Cormorant V2 has multiple opening methods. You can front flip, flipper tab it, spydie flick it with the cutout or use the button lock mechanism.
Doctor_EDC has put a lot of thought into the Button Lock. He's placed the lock plunge inside the blade to prevent any unintended lock release. The dome shaped lock plunge also allows for a springy feel deploying the knife and control when closing it with the button lock. With S35VN steel, this knife not only has great action but performs well on cutting tasks too.
Overall, this knife has been tuned in well, one of the best budget button locks on the market for sure. Grab yours while we have them in stock as we're not sure when we'll be able to get more!

Great knife, comfortable in the hand, blade centred and insanely sharp out of the box.

Detent was a little firm but its breaking in nicely and is getting only better to use.
I opted for the symbols on the scales as I'm a playstation fan as well, so was nice to combine two passions.

The Kizer Cormorant is a great knife fun to play with I have not put this thing down since I got it. Looks wise well, she looks like my ex girlfriend, in other words she looks better with the lights off in the dark. Im going to dye the G10 black or red to help the look of her. Multiple deployment options that has my hands working over time. The action is Kizer action, best in the business for the price they ask with S35VN. T8 up front but T6s for the rest, in my opinion T8s all the way to help stop the screw or bit stripping. Pocket clip works great and its counter sunk along with the clip screws. Blade shape extremely practical, jimping is not my favorite does not grip the skin. The flippers and finger hole are in the right spot for me to launch out the blade. Detent is a bit on the light side. When unlocking the knife it has a small amount of lock stick just enough to trust that the lock works so Im fine with that. Two things I would change on this knife, one the look and two it needs a finger choil. If I grab the knife my index finger sits to far back from the blade and if I choke up my middle finger sits in the grove of the handle leaving my index finger well over the blade. A finger choil would help aid room on the handle as the grove slightly dictates your grip options.
One issue I have had with this knife is that the button unscrewed its self from the plunger coming off completely, by luck it popped off in my pocket and I was able to screw it back on. Over all I would give this knife 9/10.
As for the service from AC, in my eyes its the best in the business. Iv purchased a list of knives way to many to list, ALL from AC and every time I get a hand written note from Mitch. I put my orders in on a Monday and by Friday they are in my hands East to West of Australia and thats with the poor postal service we have here, I dont know how you do it so fast? The next knife I will buy from AC will be the Civivi Altus wood handle. Over all I would give 11/10 for the service I receive from ALL the staff at AC!!!
